We're looking for a writer who writes Arabic the way people speak it, and knows when to choose Modern Standard Arabic and when Syrian dialect. You'll write for Syrian brands at home and abroad: social media captions, blog articles, and website and ad copy.
Arabic comes first; English is needed for our clients abroad and for our own site. The work is fully remote, with clear tasks and agreed deadlines.
What you'll do
- Write captions for posts, reels and stories from the monthly content plan
- SEO blog articles in Arabic and English
- Website and online store copy, including product descriptions
- Paid ad copy and headlines, in several versions for testing
- Adapt copy between Arabic and English, keeping its spirit rather than translating word for word
- Proofread and edit copy before it goes live
What you bring
- Correct Modern Standard Arabic and natural writing in Syrian dialect
- Good written English
- SEO basics: keywords, titles and descriptions
- Able to change tone for each brand and audience
- Meets deadlines and takes feedback well
- Writing samples, published or ready to show
Nice to have
- Advertising copywriting experience
- Knowledge of the fashion or e-commerce market in Syria
- Experience writing short scripts for reels
